Kayumanis Bali Travel Diary

Visiting Bali is always a magical and nourishing experience. When I plan my itinerary, I make sure to stay at boutique hotels or private resorts that enhance the experience of immersing in this mystical Indonesian island. Towards the last leg of my trip to Bali in January of 2020, I stayed at Kayumanis Sanur. Previously experienced the luxury and hospitality of Kayumanis Ubud and this stay was just as nourishing and magical.

Upon my arrival at Kayumanis Sanur, I was greeted with a warm welcome check-in to the dreamiest 2-bedroom private villa with a pool, full kitchen, outdoor dining, and outdoor bath. As part of my all-inclusive stay, they prepared a curated itinerary that felt like a nourishing retreat for my mind, body, and spirit.

My Kayumanis stay & itinerary included:

  • Private Balinese Blessing with a High Priestess

  • Wellness Massage & Spa session

  • Vegetarian Lunch & High Tea

  • Poolside Massage

  • Dinner at Kayumanis Seaside Sanur

  • Sunrise Breakfast

Kayumanis means cinnamon and your room will most likely be stocked with delicious cinnamon cookies and a bathroom featuring their cinnamon apothecary products. The Kayumanis properties are known for their superb service and private accommodations. I honestly didn’t need to leave my villa - I had everything!

My favorite part was being able to go from waking up to jump in the pool in less than 7 seconds.

If I did need anything, I could play this Balinese instrument to call for service. Admittedly, I was pretty much pampered at Kayumanis and loved every minute of it. I probabaly would have extended my stay if I didn’t have Daniel or Mischa waiting for me back 8,600 miles away.

After several trips to Bali here, here, and here, I finally received a Balinese blessing from a High Priestess. I always try to be mindful of balancing being present and documenting my experience when it comes to sacred ceremonies. The priestess was so kind and even told my guide to take our picture after the ceremony. I felt really amazing after the ceremony - as if I was coming out of a magical portal and experiencing life with a fresh new lens. I still remember that feeling and captured a selfie to bottle up that moment. This was my favorite part of my Kayumanis curated itinerary experience.

My stay at Kayumanis Sanur left me feeling so taken care of and feel so at home. It’s been over a year and miss the magic of being in Bali. Grateful for the #Blessingsreceived and highly recommend booking your stay at Kayumanis resorts. If you do visit, let tell know that Kristine recommended you.
